Down Memory Lane (2)

Hey wonderful readers!

Once a month I decided I will share one of my fondest book memories with you. If you happen to have a special book memory, feel free to make your own Down Memory Lane post or write about it in comments. One of my many reasons for blogging to learn about other readers amazing experiences. I would love to hear your story!

I am excited for a book signing in a few weeks where two of my favorite authors are coming. So, today I am going to share with you my experience during my first YA Book Convention. It was September 15, 2010 when I read my favorite author of the time's blog and found out she, Claudia Gray (pseudonym for Amy Vincent), was going to be at a book convention on September 25 in Naperville, Illinois. Naperville is a suburb near Chicago where the great Anderson's book store exists. If you ever happen to go to Chicago, you should definitely visit the book store there; it is amazing.

After talking to my parents, we decided that my dad and I would go by plane to Chicago for the Convention. When we arrived, we immediately met the owner of the independent bookstore and went to our first session where we heard from debut author of the time, Andrea Cremer, and Kristen Miller story on her publication process. Then I had a chance to meet Claudia Gray and take part of a question-answer session. The other authors in this session were Sophie Jordan and Kiersten White. It was a very informative and fun session.

I also was interviewed by a local newspaper reporter and had many of my books signed. The memorable moment was receiving this autograph! After waiting in line for awhile I finally was able to talk one-to-one for a minute with Claudia Gray.

So now, tell me about your book signing experiences!
