Emme, Sophie, Ethan and Carter are seniors at a performing arts school, getting ready for their Senior Showcase recital, where the pressure is on to appeal to colleges, dance academies and professinals in show busines. For Sophie, a singer, it's been great to
be friends with Emme, who composes songs for her, and to date Carter, soap opera hearttrob who gets plenty of press coverage. Emme and Ethan have been in a band together through all four years of school, but wonder if they could be more than just friends and bandmates. Carter has been acting since he was a baby, and isn't sure how to admit that he'd rather paint than perform. The Senior Showcase is going to make or break each of the four, in a funny, touching, spectacular
finale that only Elizabeth Eulberg could perform.

I discovered this book monday afternoon when I was blog hopping and found a review on this book at Sagacity Quest. As soon as I read that reveiw, I knew I wanted to read this book. It sounds like it has everything I love in a contemporary novel. From multiple distinct perspecitives to music to exciting drama to being well-writen (well at least the excerpts I read through this books blog hop are. You can visit the excerpts here), I know this is the perfect book for me. I am now super excited for this book.
The excerpts are marvelous and all the reviews I read on GoodReads
and blogs urge the greatest of this hopefully amazing book.
I strongly believe that Carter is going to be my favorite character
because I loved his excerpt the most and can strongly relate
to the desire to break away from a established lifestyle.

I've heard about this book from another blogger a while back! It seems really interesting--mostly because I'm a sucker for any kind of art related school. Multiple POVs throw me off when every character sounds alike. I hope the author manages this well. :) Great pick~
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great read. I will have to check it out. Thanks for including a review link.
