I can't be more happier!!!!!
Thanks for everyone who participated in the event yesterday and in the other matches!
Fantastic job my fellow Adrian supporters!
Good job Will supporters as well, it was a close battle!
11750 votes to Adrian and 11709 votes to Will.
End Update.

Today is the final day of YA-Sisterhoods Epic Crush Tourney!!!!!!

The admirable Adrian Ivashkov versus the good Will!

The Grand Finale!!!!!!

I urge you to vote for Adrain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am helping the amazing advocate for Adrain: Anna from the Bursting Bookshelf!

As a fun post to celebrate the epic winning match, I will present a discussion post where everyone can state all their favorite book crushes. I met many amazing boy characters throughout my eight years of reading young adult literature. I wish I could be friends with many of them: Harry Potter, Neville Longbottem, Balthazar Moore, Carter Blume, Christian Ozera, Nick Merrick, Ash and many more. There are two boys, however, that I have a crush on.

Now, Here is my Two Book Boyfriends!!!!!!!!!!

These two boys are boys I think about late at night and constantly wish could be real.
One coincidental common characteristic: they both have a really bad father, but end up amazing people despite that draw back.

1. Adrian Ivashkov from the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead

He is awesome. He is compassionate. He is loyal. He is handsome. He is an artist. He is caring.

I love the amazing character development he overcomes throughout these two series. I love how much he does for love. He is also hilarious. I laughed so much whenever I read his amazing jokes. I am constantly surprised by the self-less actions he does to help his friends. He is dauntless even though he is a not a physical fighter. He also is a brilliant thinker when he wants to. He also really likes cherry sluchies. He is determined to live life to the fullest.

My favorite quotes:

"The greatest changes in history have come because people were able to shake off what people told them to." - Adrian in Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

"Rose Hathaway, I can't wait to see you again. If you're this charming while tired and annoyed and this gorgeous while bruised and in ski clothes, you must be devastating at your peak." Frostbite by Richelle Mead

"Yeah? Can you draw a skeleton riding a motorcycle with flames coming out of it? And I want a skeleton riding a motorcycle with flames coming out of it? And I want a pirate hat on the skeleton. And a parrot on his shoulder. A skeleton parrot. Or maybe a ninja skeleton parrot? No, that would be overkill. But it'd be cool if the biker skeleton could be shooting some ninja throwing stars. That are on fire." - Adrain in Bloodlines by Richelle Mead.

"Why not see which is brighter: your aura or the sun?" - Adrain in The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead

"Come on, we have to get you out of here before you get worse. What were you thinking.'
His expression was astonishing nonchalant for someone who looked like he would pass out. "It was worth it. You looked ... happy." - Sydney and Adrain in The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead

2. Thayer Vega from The Lying Game Series by Sara Shepard

He is amazing. He is surprising. He is passionate. He is charming. He is a fiercely loyal. He is chivalrous.

Unlike Adrain, I only fell in love with this book boy from two books. Every time I re-read a book he is in, I first rush to one of his marvelous moments before I start at the beginning of the story. Every scene he is in, he leaves a mark. I love how he never breaks a promise or reveals a secret that will ruin anyone he cares about life. He is not ambivalent in what he wants and cares for someone he thinks is his ex-girlfriend.

My favorite quotes:

"Thayer rotated his shoulder gently, then met her gaze. 'It's one thing for him to say things about me. But I can't stand him insulting you." - in Hide and Seek by Sara Shepard

"And then he sat down, pulled her close, and hugged her tight. 'Your'll be find. I promise," he whispered ever so softly into her ear."- in Hide and Seek by Sara Shepard

"Thayer stared after her, his eyes soft in the moonlight. 'You know I'm always here for you, Sutton."
- in Hide and Seek by Sara Shepard

So who are your favorite book crushes?
Thanks for reading!

  1. I voted Adrian of course! I'm sick of TMI/TID winning everything!!!

  2. Adrian Adrian Adrian. Rachel, I adore how much you love Adrian, Rachel! The quotes you posted in this review is almost too much! *swoon* Aww, excuse me while I go all dreamy eyes and lose my brain ability to half! <3 ;)

Okay, now that I have my brain now, I just want to say thank you for writing such lovely post! *hugs* I haven't met Thayer Vega yet (cool name, wow!), so I just know that I have to meet him soon! He just sounds so amazing! <3 Awesome post, Rachel! :)

    1. Thayer's name is awesome!!!! He has a sad history, he only appears in two books, once the LG series is done it will be four, and in one of the books he is made to appear like the villain for most of the book till them end. You should definitely meet him! He is far from perfect, but trying to live as happily as possible. That's one of the best things about Adrian and Thayer, they are survivors of difficult events.

  3. OH THIS IS HARD TO CHOOSE!!!! I've been voting for Adrian and Will since the beginning of the tourney and now that they're up with each other I don't know who to choose! I LOVE WILL so much but ADRIAN, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH TOO. But maybe because Jace from TMI already won last year, it's time for Adrian to win! XD

Love the quotes in the post, Rachel! ♥ Thank you for sharing :)

    1. Thanks Celine!!!!!!! Gosh, it must be hard to choose between two of your favorite characters.

  4. Ooh Thayer sounds lovely! I haven't met him yet but I really want to now. Adrian always makes me laugh. :D Great post, Rachel! I voted for Will as I have a bit of an obsession with him (sorry!) but it looks like it is very neck and neck now. :)

    1. Traitor.
:) its alright, your free to vote for whoever you want. Even though I feel Adrian deserves to win.

  5. Ooooo it's down to Adrian and Will huh? I'm rooting for Adrian, I adore Will, but it would be nice for a character not of Cassandra Clare's imagination to win! She writes brilliant characters, but I have my fingers crossed for Adrian!

  6. Well Adrian wina over Will, it was a harder choice between Dimitri and Adrian. I will vote for Adrian between you and Jennifer over at Some Like it Paranormal, Adrian should win!

  7. I have so many crushes and Adrian is def among them!
    Great post.
