Blogspiration 5!

Hello Wonderful Readers!
Today I'm participating in an amazing meme!
Blogspiration is a Brand Spankin' New weekly meme hosted by GrowingUp YA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writters alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation and just a little SOMETHING.

Last night I watched the romantic and heartwarming comedy Sleepless in Seatle, which is directed by Rob Reiner. I love all his movies. My favorite aspect of Reiner's movies is how realistic and hilarious his movies are. I chose a Rob Reiner quote as my Blogspiration for today!
“You have x amount of days on this planet, and if you’ve given someone more pleasure than he would have gotten, wow, what a thing to be able to do!”

I adore this quote because it reminds me of the importance making a significance in a person's life and how wonderful I feel when someone else has made my life, even for a moment, perfect bliss.

The day I joined Twitter, I experienced a afternoon of total exultance. This is how the story goes. I tweeted to Lauren Kunze, the author of my favorite book of 2011, how much I enjoyed her latest book. Lauren responded, a few minutes later, by stating how much she enjoyed the reviews I wrote about her books! My life was completely perfect during the next few days. I was that happy.

What is your favorite aspect of Rob Reiner movies?
If you haven't watched any, you should!
Have you ever made someones day or have been the recipient of an glorious event of true bliss?

Thanks for reading!

  2. I haven't watched Sleepless in Seattle, but I probably should. I love the quote! It really is good to perform random acts of kindness and to make people happy in little ways, and just as nice to be a recipient of something like that.

I'm glad Lauren Kunze replied to you immediately after you tweeted, and on your first day, too. That's amazing! I felt like you did when the author of one of my favorite series, Jonathan Stroud, tweeted me, too, thanking me for my review. His publicist even linked to it on his official fanpage, which was awesome! Thinking about that makes me smile all over again. :') /fangirlmode

  3. Let's talk about my love for Tom Hanks! It runs deep! REAL DEEP! And I seriously love that feeling. As simple as it is, when an author tweets you back or mentions you? OMG, it's like perfection! You think, "FUCK YEAH! I am AWESOME" lol...

Thanks for that, Rachel. This totally made my day :)

  5. Oh, Rachel, I LOVE this. It's amazing how something so small and insignificant can make such an enormous difference. When authors I love tweet me back, comment, do anything like that, it makes my day/week/uh... lifetime? SO wonderful. Such a good point, you know, passing on the love?

Uh... Rob Reiner directed Princess Bride? My opinion is officially OMG AKLGHKAHFHADFFA! :D:D:D ♥
