Hi Everyone!
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and is a wonderful way to share books you are waiting on!
Today, for my last WOW of 2012, I am sharing the last book coming out in February that is a reason I cannot wait for February 2013!
Along with The Ivy: Scandal by Lauren Kunze (February 26), Cross My Heart, Hope To Die by Sara Shepard (February 5), and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer (February 5), I am waiting on ...
The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead
Publisher: Razorbill
Publication Date: February 12th, 2013
Synopsis:
In the aftermath of a forbidden moment that rocked Sydney to her core, she finds herself struggling to draw the line between her Alchemist teachings and what her heart is urging her to do. Then she meets alluring, rebellious Marcus Finch--a former Alchemist who escaped against all odds, and is now on the run. Marcus wants to teach Sydney the secrets he claims the Alchemists are hiding from her. But as he pushes her to rebel against the people who raised her, Sydney finds that breaking free is harder than she thought. There is an old and mysterious magic rooted deeply within her. And as she searches for an evil magic user targeting powerful young witches, she realizes that her only hope is to embrace her magical blood--or else she might be next.
Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, the Bloodlines series explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive—this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone’s out for blood.

Why oh why?
I admire Sydney. Even though she makes some choices I disagree with, I admire her courage and drive to be herself. I am so happy to find an observer, like me, as a main character of a series. A main character who demonstrates a unique type of strength, who is loyal and creative.
I love Adrain. I love his tenacious attitude towards gaining his desires, his marvelous wit and his ability to constantly change and become stronger in the face of adversity - his bad luck and father.
I cannot wait to see what happens next in the Bloodlines series. To meet Marcus. To discover the result of Jill modeling mistake. To read Sydney and Christian's first meeting. To experience what terror Mrs. Terwilliger's sister can bring. Most of all, to enjoy Sonya's and Mikhail's wedding!
Thanks for reading!
What are you waiting on?
Eeep, I can't wait for The Indigo Spell either! I absolutly loved the other two books. I also look forward to more Sydney and Adrain, I agree that they're both great characters. <3

ReplyDeleteEeep I feel so out of the loop Rachel, I have yet to pick up the Vampire Academy series, so that's an epic fail on my part. But everyone seems to love it and the spin off series. I hope you get your hands on a copy soon! :)
ReplyDeleteHIII RACHELL!!!!!!!!! How are you?? Miss me? :P Sorry I've been kinda absent lately- I was on a short blogging break but I'm back and wow stunning pick as always, Rache. I love the sound of this series! So cool and really fascinating. I know Vampires have kinda been overdone but I've heard glowing things about the series so I guess I should pick the first book up? Great WoW pick!!!!!! Missed you <3
ReplyDeleteOmg the third already? I haven't even read the first one yet! Eek! I was a fan of the VA series so I def have to get going with these ones!
ReplyDeleteI need to read this series Rachel! Why haven't I started them? Though maybe it's for the best, now I can wait until this 3rd one is out and read all of them in a row. Win:)
ReplyDeleteOh man, Richelle Mead will kill us with all these six-part series she has going on! I think you enjoy this spinoff/Sydney more than I do, but I LOVE ADRIAN so I'm going to keep going with it, hah. Nice pick!
ReplyDeleteWendy @ The Midnight Garden
I really liked the original VA series (Adrian!!) but this spinoff I'm not a huge fan of, unfortunately. Mostly because of the effortlessly bland and dull main characters, Sydney and Jill. Anhow, I hope your expectations are exceeded when you get the chance to read it, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteYes!! February is really not *that* far away which is great! :D
ReplyDeletep.s I have added your blog to our blogroll :D
