Seven Minutes in Heaven by Sara Shepard
Publisher: HarperCollins
Publication Date: July 30th, 2013
Synopsis:
But sometimes the truth hurts.
For months, my long-lost twin, Emma, has been living my life and trying to solve my murder. She's unearthed dark secrets about my friends, my family, and my tangled past. But when it comes to finding my killer, she keeps running into dead ends.
Until my body shows up in Sabino Canyon. Suddenly everyone knows there are two girls who look like Sutton Mercer—and that one of them is dead. At first the police assume the body is Emma's. But as questions and accusations start flying, it's harder than ever for Emma to keep playing me. The truth is bound to come out eventually. And when it does, Emma will be suspect number one in my murder investigation. If she can't find my killer before time runs out, she'll end up behind bars . . . or worse.
Sara Shepard, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Pretty Little Liars books, finally reveals the shocking truth about Sutton's murder in this riveting novel about secrets, lies, and killer consequences

Why oh why?
First, the introduction in the synopsis is amazing. So true. The introduction makes me wonder if my prediction that Ethan is the killer is true. If it is, Emma will be badly hurt. After all, she would have trusted and loved the wrong guy.
Seven Minutes in Heaven is the last book in the Lying Game series so I can finally discover who killed Sutton. I like the direction (I'm inferring from this synopsis) this book will go where Emma will have to face everyone knowing the truth instead of telling them once the killer is safety locked in prison. This direction should be exciting, since Emma will have to defend her self for lying and block accusations that she is the killer.
And most of all...
More Thayer scenes! More Thayer moments! More Thayer being incredible.
Thanks for reading!
I love PLL (TV show), but I couldn't get into the book series so I'm reluctant to pick this one up. I do, however, want to watch the Lying Games TV show. I hope that the last book doesn't disappoint! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these, but they sound really fun! Glad you introduced me.
ReplyDeletei personally don't think it will be ethan because that is so predictable and sara shepard is anything but that. I had my suspicions that it could be ethan from the first book.. definitely a red herring.

Haha! I hope you get all the Thayer scenes you wanted and more. :) I haven't picked up this series before! I haven't even seen the TV series, so I'm pretty much clueless about it all around. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of this one!
ReplyDeleteGreat pick, Rachel! I actually like TLG more than I like PLL, so you'd better believe this is on my list, as well :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! I like how TLGforcusses more on family. :)
DeleteI always mean to start this series but get completely get side tracked. I love how much you are enjoying this series and I'm happy you don't have to wait to long before you can get your hands on a copy. Great pick Rachel! :)
ReplyDeleteNot really familiar with this series other than the commercials I've seen for the TV show-I hope it lives up to your expectations!
ReplyDeleteDammit Rachel! I've fallen so far behind in this series! I loved book one but got distracted with other books and never returned to the series and now I'm several books behind. I definitely want to get caught up and find out who killed Sutton!
ReplyDeleteI seem to recall your addiction to this series, Rachel! Good to see you're still loving it. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I need to get caught up on these books! I love how different the books are from the show. I am Team Ethan in the show but not the books!
