Feature and Follow (12) TGIF (2)

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful week!

Feature and Follow is a fantastic way to make new blogger friends and gain followers. It is hosted by Allison Can Read and Parajunkee

The question of the week:
This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother's Day, in celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?

My Answer:
I have always had a close relationship with my mom because we love the same things. We both enjoy short ribs, broadway plays and reading.

I really liked the mother-daughter relationship between Cammie Morgan and Rachel Morgan from the Gallagher Girls series. They do not tell each other everything - after all they are spies - but I enjoy reading about their interacations. They both deeply care about each other and that is what matters in the end.

I also completely love Gabi and Lia's mother from the River in Time series by Lisa Tawn Bergren! She is a great addition in Cascade and Torrent as another warrior women. She is a strong and wise mother that helped Gabi and Lia face their enemies.

Supporting Characters: We tend to gush over those main characters the most, but what about those supporting roles? Who are some of your favorites?

I absolutely love supporting characters! They are often my favorites! The incredible Ivy series by Lauren Kunze and Rina Onur has the best supporting characters! Mimi, OK, Lexi and Vannesa are great in their own ways and bring humor to the story!

Other favorite supporting characters of mine include: Vic from the Evernight series by Claudia Gray, Lord Greco from the River of Time series by Lisa Tawn Bergen and Finnick from the Hunger Games series!

Feature and Follow (11) TGIF (1)

Happy friday everyone!
I hope everyone had a wonderful week.

Feature and Follow is a fantastic way to make new blogger friends and gain followers. It is hosted by Allison Can Read and Parajunkee

This weeks question is:  Have you ever had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then "broke-up" with later on in either the series or stand-alone book?

My answer: There is a series that I love called The Ivy Series by Lauren Kunze and Rina Onur. I love how this series is written terrifically, has wonderful complex characters and is a very plot-drivened, drama-filled book.
During the third book of the series, Rivals, a character in this series named Clint, makes a decision that I am completely against. This is series that I do not want to spoil so I will not say exactly what he did. Until this certain decision I found him all-in-all a great guy. He appeared nice, intelligent and swoon-worthy. Then, I became disappointed in his decision in Rivals. Now I cannot no longer see him in a positive light.

You can add incredible book The Ivy by Lauren Kunze and Rina Onur to your TBR list on GoodReads here!

TGIF is a friday meme hosted by Ginger at GReads for bloggers to re-cap their week and to connect with bloggers through a question created by Ginger. This is my first time taking part of this wonderful meme!

This week question Ginger asks: Reading Blues: We all get them from time to time. What helps you overcome those reading slumps when nothing seems to grab your attention?

My Answer: Well typically when i have trouble reading I tend to stop reading for awhile. I usually do active activities like walking my dog, hanging out with a friend or singing a song. I think singing is what works the best for me because I feel refreshed every time I sing.  When I am feeling too tired during a reading slump I usually would just go to sleep. Usually my reading slumps happen only for a few hours.

Feature and Follow (10)

Happy Friday!
Wow! This was a fantastic week!
I hope everyone is having an incredible week too!

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.
It is an amazing way to gain followers and connect with bloggers.

The Question of the week is:
Fight! Fight! If you could have two fictional characters battle it out (preferably from books), who would they be and who do you think would win?
My Answer:
Yay! A fun question! Okay, I will choose ... Ash from the Iron Fey against Dmitri Beikov from Vampire Academy.

For the physical fight: They are both great fighters, caring people and can become calm in fights. Though I feel Dmitri will win through his ability to not be effected by iron and other metals.

For the fight for my love: Ash! He is incredible! I'm in the middle of reading the Iron Queen for the first time and I completely am falling in love. Also, Dmitri has the negative characteristic of hurting my first and favorite book boyfriend, Adrian Ivashkov.

Feature and Follow (9)

Hello Everyone! Thanks for visiting my blog! It is currently my birthday night, April 5! I had an awesome birthday day full of excitement and chocolate ice cream cake! Although, I did not receive my ideal birthday gift (an ARC of the highly sought for The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead).
Who else loves the Vampire Academy series? You can read my Bloodline's review here!

Feature and Follow is a fantastic weekly meme hosted by the lovely Allison Can Read and the amazing Parajunkee. It is a wonderful way to chat with new bloggers and bond with old ones. Also, its a perfect way to gain followers!

The question of the week!

Have you ever read a book because of a bad review?
ad review?
My Answer!

Well, I read books that I adored that others disliked but I never actually read a book because I read a bad review. When I choose the books I read I judge them based on their synopsis, excerpts and reviews. The factor that matters the most is the excerpts because they illustrate to me if I like the author's writing style. Recently, I wisely choose to read a book called Take A Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg based on its excerpts and boy, I was completely amazed and loved that book!

Feature and Follow (8)!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Unforgettable Books!

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee! It is a fantastic way to gain followers, meet new followers and bond over answers to an incredible question of the week!

Today, I officially started Spring Break so I am really happy and relaxed!
I am really excited for April, my birthday month! I'm excited to read everyone's answers!

The question of the week: Do you read books one at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

My answer: I usually read one book at a time because I like to enjoy the book I'm reading and not have to deal with to many conflicting plot lines at the time. Recently I tried to start reading a printed book at the same time as a digital one, but I had a hard time reading the digital one because I want to complete the printed book's story.

Thank you for visiting!

Feature and Follow (7)

Happy Friday!

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by AllisonCanRead and Parajunkee. It is a fantastic way to meet new bloggers. I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather!

This weeks question:

Q: What is the best book you've read in the last month? What is the worst book you've read in the last month?

My answer:

My favorite book this month was Rivals by Lauren Kunze and Rina Onur. It had everything I hope for and love in a book; good writing, fantastic characters and drama. I am good at finding something good in every book I read so I will not mention any horrible books.

Weekly Update:
This week I had a chance to read two books that I have be waiting excitedly for awhile. Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter and Rivals by Lauren Kunze and Rina Onur (Review here

Feature and Follow (6)

Hi Wonderful Readers! I hope everyone had as great a week as I had.

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by AllisonCanRead and Parajunkee. It is a formidable way to make new blogger friends. Also, there are usually amazing questions to answer that is different each week.

This week question is...

Have you ever looked at a book's cover and thought, this is going to be horrible? But, was instead pleasantly surprised? Show us the Cover and tell us about the book?

My answer is....

I always read books based on an exciting synopsis or plenty of good reviews. A cover of a book I love that I do not view highly is Stargazer by Claudia Gray. I love this amazing story set in a vampire boarding school that reflects the old rivalry between vampires and vampire hunters. The books send a chill down my spin and I adore all the characters. However, the cover is not awe inspiring or pretty. I like the attempt of an artistic self-portrait but find it a bit ugly. Well, thats my opinion of the cover. What is yours?

Friday Update:

This week I won two book awards, wrote a review on Scarlet on A.C Gaughen, celebrated the release of Rivals by Lauren Kunze and Rina Onur and Balthazar by Claudia Gray, shared a Waiting on Wednesday post, visited many amazing blogs and took part in an amazing and thought provoking meme called Blogspiration hosted by Kristen at GrowingUpYA and Sarah at Saz101

What are you plans for the week?

Feature and Follow (5)

Hello Everyone!

Feature and Follow is a fantastic way to make new blogger friends and gain followers. It is hosted by Allison Can Read and Parajunkee

This weeks question:

Q: What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?

My Answer:

I would love to see Old Magic by Marianne Curley and the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead turned into movies. Old Magic because I always loved to see the spiraling and swirling that the character undergoes during time travel and this books is my favorite book with time travel. Vampire Academy because it has so many marvelous settings to explore. I do not care about the actors, anyone brilliant actor would be find.

What about you?

Hi Fellow Readers! Happy Friday

I love doing this hop. The last two times I done it have been great and I am excited to do it a third time.

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by AllisonCanRead and Parajunkee.

The question of the week is:

I like unique names for characters and am looking forward to coming up with some when I start writing. What's the most unique character name you've come across?

My answer:

I have found names to be a very important part of a character. I always love discovering new names.I have not come across many or the most unusual names in the books I read. Still, some names I like that are not found in many books is Balthazar from Evernight by Claudia Gray and Okechuwuku from the Ivy Series by Lauren Kunze and Rina Onur. Funny, both of those characters are from book series I love.

What are the most unique character names that you have come across?

Feature & Follow

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.

Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

I tend to enjoy most book genres because each genre has amazing features. I only tend to avoid the non-fiction genre because when I read books I want to discover a world that is different from my own.
